Privacy Policy
This policy covers this website only. Protected health information created during your care is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this policy. This website is not designed to collect health information, and we do not request it here.
NPDirect Telehealth ("we", "us", "our") operates npdirecttelehealth.com. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Employment applications. If you apply through our Join Our Team page, we collect your name, contact details, professional credentials (licence, board certification, NPI, DEA status, states of licensure), availability, clinical focus areas, your written response, and any résumé or profile link you provide. Employment application information is not collected as patient health information; however, it may include sensitive personal or professional information, and we handle it as employment-related information.
- Direct contact. If you email or call us, we retain that correspondence in order to respond. Please do not include medical details or other sensitive health information in an email to us. Ordinary email is not a secure channel; anything clinical belongs in the patient portal.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — for security and reliability.
- Cookies. This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Our scheduling platform's booking tool is embedded directly in our home page. While that page is open, the tool may set cookies and exchange technical data with the platform's own servers in order to function.
Information we do not request
- We do not request or intend to collect symptoms, diagnoses, medications, dates of birth, insurance identifiers, or any other health information through the general pages of this website. Please do not send us health information through this website or by email.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, ever.
- We do not serve advertising or run advertising-network tracking pixels.
How we use information
- To review and respond to employment applications, and to verify credentials through public licensure and certification registries.
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of vendors to run the site and the practice. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
- Netlify — website hosting and the employment application form.
- IntakeQ / PracticeQ — appointment scheduling, intake forms, video visits, records, and billing. This vendor operates under a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement. Its booking tool is embedded in our home page and is also reachable by direct link. What you enter into it is submitted to that platform under its own privacy terms, and we do not store it on this website. Because the tool runs inside our page, your browser also exchanges technical data with that platform while the page is open.
- Google Fonts — typography served to your browser.
How long we keep information
Employment applications are retained for at least twelve months, and longer where employment record-keeping obligations require it. We will delete an application sooner on request unless we are required to retain it. General correspondence is retained as long as needed to address the matter. Server logs are retained on our host's standard schedule.
Security
The site is served exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because we do not request health information here, the most sensitive material on this website is an employment application. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You may ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing npdirecttelehealth@gmail.com. Please do not include medical details or other sensitive information in that request — tell us what you need and we will arrange a secure channel.
- You may set your browser to refuse cookies, though the embedded booking tool may not function correctly if you do.
- Requests concerning your medical record are handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices, which grants you broader rights.
Children
This practice provides care only to adults aged 18 and older, and this website is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party tools and links
Our scheduling platform appears on this website in two ways: as a booking tool embedded directly in our home page, and as links that open the platform in its own window. In both cases the information you enter is handled by that platform under its own privacy terms and under its Business Associate Agreement with us.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any site we link to, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted here.
