Terms of Use

Effective September 4, 2026

This website does not provide medical advice. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for a consultation with a qualified clinician. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.

These terms govern your use of npdirecttelehealth.com and the services offered through it. By using this site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. No medical advice, and no relationship until we've met

The content on this website — service descriptions, condition lists, articles, and general information — is provided for informational purposes only. It does not establish a provider–patient relationship.

A provider–patient relationship is established only after you complete a telehealth evaluation with our nurse practitioner and she accepts you as a patient. Booking an appointment, sending a message, or reading this site does not create one.

We may determine that our services are not appropriate for your needs, and may recommend emergency, in-person, specialty, or other care instead. Nothing on this website guarantees acceptance as a patient, or the availability of any service or appointment time.

2. Emergencies

Do not use this website, the patient portal, or secure messaging for medical emergencies. These channels are not monitored continuously and are not an appropriate way to report an urgent problem. If you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, a severe allergic reaction, or thoughts of harming yourself, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.

3. Telehealth — what it is and what it isn't

Telehealth means your provider evaluates and treats you using live video and secure electronic communication rather than an in-person visit. By booking, you acknowledge that you understand the following.

Benefits

  • Access to care without travel or a waiting room.
  • Shorter waits for an appointment and easier follow-up.
  • Continuity with one provider who knows your history.

Limitations and risks

  • Your provider cannot physically examine you. Some conditions cannot be diagnosed or safely managed without hands-on examination, imaging, or in-person testing.
  • Technology can fail. A dropped connection or poor video quality may require rescheduling or an in-person referral.
  • In rare cases, information transmitted electronically could be intercepted despite the security measures in place.
  • Your provider may determine at any point that your situation requires in-person evaluation, and will tell you so and help you find appropriate care.

You may withdraw from telehealth care at any time without affecting your right to future care.

By booking a visit, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this section — what telehealth is, what it cannot do, and the risks described above. Your provider will also review telehealth with you at the start of your first visit, including where you are physically located, how to reach emergency care in that location, and the alternatives to a video visit, including being seen in person.

4. Who we can treat

  • Adults 18 and older only. Our nurse practitioner is board-certified in adult-gerontology primary care. We do not treat paediatric patients.
  • You must be physically located in a state where your provider holds an active licence at the time of your visit. Licensure is required by law and we cannot make exceptions.

5. Prescriptions

Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate following an evaluation. Booking an appointment does not entitle you to any particular medication, and your provider may decline to prescribe when it would not be safe or appropriate.

We do not prescribe controlled substances — including stimulants, opioids, and benzodiazepines — in a telehealth-only relationship.

6. Appointments and payment

  • Scheduling, intake forms, payment, and your medical record are handled through our practice management platform, not through this website.
  • We do not currently bill insurance. All visits are self-pay.
  • Self-pay prices are published on this site and quoted before you book.
  • Concierge membership is a recurring charge. Membership fees are billed automatically to the payment method you provide, once a month on the same day of the month as your enrolment, at the rate shown to you when you enrol. Billing continues until you cancel. You may cancel at any time, without a cancellation fee, through your patient portal or by emailing or calling us using the details on this page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the monthly period you have already paid for, and partial months are not prorated. Fees already billed are not refunded except where required by law. A membership is not insurance and is not a substitute for it. The membership agreement you accept at checkout governs if it differs from this summary.
  • Medications, laboratory work, and imaging are billed separately by the pharmacy or laboratory that provides them.

7. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete information about your health, medications, and history. Care decisions depend on it.
  • Be in a private, well-lit location with a stable connection for your visit.
  • Follow the plan you agree to, and tell us promptly if something changes or isn't working.
  • Keep your portal credentials confidential.

8. Intellectual property

The text, design, graphics, and arrangement of this website are owned by NPDirect Telehealth and protected by copyright. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute them otherwise without our written permission.

9. Third-party links and services

This site uses third-party services, including our scheduling platform, whose booking tool is embedded directly in our home page as well as reachable by link. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and by our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

This website is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that the general information on it is complete or current for your particular circumstances.

This disclaimer applies to the website. It does not limit the professional obligations your provider owes you as a patient.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NPDirect Telehealth will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for professional negligence.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

13. These terms are not your consent to treatment

Using this website, or agreeing to these terms, does not take the place of the separate consents and authorisations we ask you for as a patient — including informed consent to treatment, telehealth consent, financial and membership agreements, and any HIPAA authorisation. Where a separate affirmative consent or authorisation is required, it is asked for separately — agreeing to this page is not agreeing to it.

14. Changes

We may revise these terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.

15. Contact
